That is to say, it provides a quality and safety database for the whole process from production through consumption of agricultural products, a traceable data chain for agricultural products from “producer – trader – consumer – regulator”, thus providing consumers with an instant understanding of and supervision over the quality and safety information about purchased agricultural products at various stages from production through sales, enabling them to trace the sources of problems through “production record, information query, channel tracking and quality tracing”, and ensuring that consumer rights and interests are protected. It achieves the goal of staged food safety regulation by such government agencies as agriculture, business, health, quality supervision, foods & drugs, industry and commerce, etc. It enables tracing at various stages of the sources of agricultural products, provides a new efficient model of food safety regulation in the IT era, improves the work efficiency of regulatory authorities, and promotes the healthy and orderly development of China’s agricultural industry.
